Pop-up market coming to Sunnyside this Saturday

What do Guyanese chicken patties, Moroccan cookies and strong-brewed coffee have in common?

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Queens County Market has planned a pop-up market in Sunnyside this weekend.

The market will feature an array of products and noms culinary creations, courtesy of the borough’s budding foodie entrepreneurs.

According to the Queens County Market release:

Expect Veda’s Cakes & Catering to be back with her famous Guyanese chicken patties. Taste of Ethiopia’s outpost at Queens County Market makes it the borough’s only place to enjoy Ethiopian fare. The popular Astoria restaurant, Queens Comfort, will be offering homemade donuts and iced Stumptown coffee. Tropisec, winner of Best Dessert in the 2012 Taste of Queens event, will also be selling her dehydrated fruit flowers at the market.

The QB will be headed to the market this weekend! We hope to see you there. Tweet us @queensbeat if you’ll be in the vicinity.
